Do I Need Documents for the Caste Census? (The Real Checklist)

Are you worried about missing papers? I've put together a simple list of what documents you actually need when officers visit your home.

You don't need to panic! Most documents are optional. The officers will ask you for details, and if you have these documents, you can show them to make the process faster.

1. Aadhaar Card Optional

This helps officers verify your identity quickly, but it is not mandatory. If you have it, you can show it.

2. Mobile Number Optional

A working mobile number is helpful for receiving a confirmation or digital ID, but it is not strictly required.

3. Ration Card Optional

If you have a Ration Card, it lists all family members together which helps the officer. But don't worry if you don't have one.

4. Caste Certificate Optional

If you have a certificate, you can show it. But the census is based on self-declaration, so you can just tell them your caste.

What if I don't have documents?

Don't worry! The goal of the Census is to count everyone. If you are missing some papers:
